New England Amateur Radio Inc. (NEAR) is a non-profit corporation operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

New England Amateur Radio Incorporated’s purpose is to promote education and growth of amateur radio as a STEM activity (science, technology, engineering, and math), as a communications hobby, and as support for emergency preparedness and public service.

To maximize its impact on current efforts, NEAR seeks to collaborate with other non-profit organizations which are under the 501(c)(3) section of the internal revenue code and are operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.

New England Amateur Radio (NEAR) supports a regional radio club called STARS – Sci-Tech Amateur Radio Society.  STARS meets most Tuesdays at New England Sci-Tech Inc., 16 Tech Circle, Natick, MA.

ARRL Affiliated Club
New England Amateur Radio is an affiliated club of the national American Radio Relay League (ARRL). As such, we need at least 50% of NE1AR members to be ARRL members as well. Please read about all the benefits of an ARRL membership and join ARRL today!
